The 2011 game is Roger's 19th as director of the bowl. His attention to detail and organizational skills make the complex task of presenting a bowl game manageable. He grew up with the Mineral Water Bowl as his father, Melvin, was active in presenting the bowl in the 60's and 70's and is a former QB Club president. Roger and his wife Kim are the parents of two children, Ericka and Drake.

The Mineral Water Bowl game is presented by the Excelsior Springs Quarterback Club, a 501 c.3 non-profit organization. The event is played for the benefit of local high-school and youth activities programs in the area. Meetings are held each Tuesday evening, 1219 Jesse James Rd., 7 p.m.

It's due primarily to the diligence and dedication of the Quarterback Club of Excelsior Springs, pictured above, that the re-emergence of the Mineral Water Bowl in the 1990s has led to the bowl classic's current incarnation.
